LTC Dimitri Belmont Biographical 


LTC Dimitri Maracais Belmont was born in Kinston, NC, in 1956. He received a B.A. in Political Science from Winston Salem State University in 1978 and M.A. degree in General Administration from Central Michigan University of Michigan in 1993. He is also a graduate of the United States Army Transportation Officer Basic and Advanced Course, U.S. Army Combined Arms Services School and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps in May of 1978.

 

From August 1978 until October 2000, he held various positions of increasing responsibility in the U.S. Army as an active duty, Transportation and Multifunctional Logistics Officer. His tour of duty in the Continental U.S. (CONUS) covers 10 different states and assignments. Also, during his career he deployed to 5 different countries outside the Continental U.S. (OCONUS) and visited numerous more. LTC Belmont served one combat tour in the country of Somalia from April to December 1993. His last military assignment was as the Professor of Military Science at Saint Augustine’s College and Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

 

His subsequent professional experiences were as follows: Associate Vice President/Dean of Students, for Student Affairs, St. Augustine’s College (2000-2001) Area Manager for Carolina Pavement Cleaning Service Inc. (2001-2004).

 

LTC Belmont’s is married to former Gwendolyn Macon of Junction City, Kansas currently employed as an Assistant Principal at Martin Middle School in Raleigh, NC. LTC Belmont enjoys being married, all sports, especially golf, scuba diving, basketball and volleyball. He has received numerous awards and decorations both from civilian and military work experiences. His life mission statement is “Grow where you’re planted.”

SFC James Hylton Biographical 

Sergeant First Class (SFC) Hylton grew up in Norfolk, Virginia and graduated from Norview High School in 1973. After high school graduation, SFC Hylton enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and worked as an aerial photo interpreter and as a recruiter. In 1983, SFC Hylton joined the Illinois Army National Guard and attended college in Chicago, IL. In 1990, SFC Hylton was mobilized to active duty with the National Guard in response to the first Gulf War. SFC Hylton stayed on active duty with the National Guard as a tank commander and trainer until retirement in 2002. In 2002, SFC Hylton became the Army JROTC Assistant Instructor at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School. SFC Hylton has a BS degree from Charter Oak State College in Connecticut, and a Master of Arts degree from Norwich University in Vermont. SFC Hylton is married and has one daughter.
